Sometimes Utopian Beliefs Come Back to Bite You

The death of two progressive activists shocked the nation. And that says everything about crime and class in America.

An interesting and fairly short article on the cluelessness (and dangerousness) of rich insulated liberals with Utopian ideas. I once heard it said these people believe that if their Utopian ideas don't work out they can "pull the ladder up after them." Maybe not.

One of the victims he mentions in the article was killed in the Bedford-Stuyvesant section of Brooklyn at 4:00 in the morning. I can tell you from personal experience that the night time is not the right time for any white boys or girls to be hanging out in Bed-sty which shows how clueless these two really are. Its dangerous enough if you're a non white local.

The Gated Communities the elites live in might seem safe -
but they're not. They hate us peasants having guns,
but I bet they own them. They may need them if they go too far
    with their socialistic crap.

Marxism, especially in its most malevolent Soviet and Maoist forms, was very much an upper class phenomenon, very few leading Marxists had real working class experience, or farming backgrounds-cf. Marx's derisive comments on "the idiocy of rural life." And their constantly berating the real working people for their lack of class consciousness. Cf. the people who insist we pay more and more for "education", but their children attend private schools. How many of them have ever visited an inner-city school, talked to the teachers and staff who have to deal everyday with "the offal produced by the welfare state."

Bear whisperers. The guy in Alaska who said he could talk to bears. His girlfriend was filming it. You don't see the bear killing the guy but there's lots of screaming and camera shake. They did find his remains in the bear.

It like panning for gold (which I've done). There might be a little color in the pan but it's mostly gravel. It's exciting to find gold, but if it isn't going to pay, you abandon the idea of panning for gold.
