About 2000 troops are getting ready to go to Israel. For humanitaran service. Yeah, right! They WILL see combat and suffer casualities! I would guess it is the 82nd airborne or 101st. Was this Joe's idea? Or O'Bamma's? There is NO need for our troops to be there. The Israel army knows how to take care of itself.
As an aside; two of our carriers plus escort ships are off Israel's coast. What a good time for China or Russia to take advantage of that. Taiwan...watch out!

I understand that a heck of a lot of reservists have been told to "check their go bags," because if they have to go the notice will be short, 48 hours or less. Major Tom is right in the OP; if US troops are deployed it will be because things have seriously deteriorated and they will see combat.
