    Wow, this is poker.

As much as I like Nikki Haley I think there are some gaps. I could be wrong. But she is sharp as usual. OK: two people, a mother and daughter got released. It swells the heart. Maybe Hamas isn't all crazy.
Nikki say's, "that's what they do".
You hope Palestine/Gaza pleads: Stop bombing and we will let all the hostages go. It would be a wonderful gesture. All 200. We're sorry and won't do it again. Nikki says, don't trust them. I have no doubt that a lot of those hostages will never be seen again. I like Nikkis fire. But she won't get everything she wants. I don't either.

The U.S. needs to stop feeling responsible for those travelling or working overseas when a conflict or disaster erupts.

These people chose to go somewhere else. Sometimes their judgement isn't too bright.

Two out of two hundred ? Huh
The gesture got everybody talking and hoping
while giving Hamas more time to prepare.
It was meant to please Biden.

Right off: she is young and good looking. Out of two hundred. Maybe Hamas isn't as dumb as they look. If it was up to the guys, they've kept her. I don't know that it bought any time. Israel is on the march.
Does Israel want to take on the whole desert? Could it go there, or is this another dust up.

Hamas got what it wanted, it got Biden to persuade
Israel to delay in case more Americans could be freed.
It's easy to fool an idiot.

It also got them free humanitarian aid to the Gaza which will mostly go to the Hamas no doubt.

Isn't everyone there Hamas? Seems half the people in this country think Palestinians are wonderful people. How'd that happen?

The first duty of government is to protect the citizens -- no matter where they are.

Then the government (our expense) should have a say on where people can go and for how long. In terms of other countries of course.

Ever read the Constitution? The government is not granted the power to tell us where we can and can't go. The government is our servant, and not the other way 'round.

Would you say the government should tell you who you have to marry, or where you have to live?

NO, but if I wanted to marry a queer I would expect my ins to state they weren't going to cover AIDS expense and if I decided to move to North Korea I would expect America to not be responsible for my stupid actions.

That's why I stated "In terms of other countries of course".

If I put myself in harms way on purpose should I expect the U.S. taxpayers to bail me out?

You mean a government that has a corrupt administration, FBI, DOJ, IRS and controls most all forms of media? Where's the protection?
