Freedom of speech has always been a gray area.

Everyone has a right to speak what they wish but do not have a right against the consequences of it. You can't insult your wife, your boss, or a judge w/o adverse effects yet you still have the right to say what you want.

How often do you hear "anything you say can and will be used against you in a court of law" ?

Not exactly. Yes officer, I killed him, and that (if it is not ruled to be hearsay) can be used against you. If you say I am thinking about doing that... thats a little different. Rapping about doing a crime is not in itself a crime. In this case the white, teenage, idiot had absolutely no way to do a mass murder or bombing. No guns, no bomb making materials, no crime.

Freedom of speech is now limited to talking to yourself.

Now you can be fired if you call a guy a guy if he thinks he is a gal.
If I should die before I wake...great,a little more sleep.
