Lake is running for the Senate (Sienema's seat) and she's ahead at the moment so I doubt she'll be Trump's running mate but anything can happen.

A similar law suit has put Rudy Giuliani pretty much in the poor house. If you don't have something beyond suspicion that somebody has broken the law in a case like this you risk a law suit. Saying you were robbed is one thing, saying "Joe Doakes" robbed me in a nationally reported case can be another matter.

Republicans have a long and unfortunate history of giving their enemies the sword that's used to do them in.
