    More on capital punishment.

A local woman has just been found guilty of Capital Murder of a cop. She can be given the capitol sentence or life without parole.

If I was the judge, I would understand it doesn't matter! Either way she is going to die in prison. If the capital sentence could happen in 2-3 years that would be best for everybody including her. But our system is so broken the odds are she will die in prison from cancer and cost the taxpayers millions.

I always thought that keeping people alive for fifty yrs. was a waste of money. Then I fouond out that the death penalty is even more expensive.
If I should die before I wake...great,a little more sleep.

When you allow endless appeals, "newly discovered" evidence, etc. In New Jersey 100 years ago or so the average time on Death Row was about 6 months.
