    No rate cut in March

What is the matter with those guys. It took three years of rate hikes to get here. Do you think they are immediately going to start LOWERING rates? It was nearly ten years of near zero. If you didn't take advantage of it then too bad. Bad for the 20 yr olds that want to buy now. Don't worry, the loop comes arouond.

The democrats have caused an incredible mess with our economy with all the stimulus, extended and overpaid unemployment benefits, $ aid to the Ukraine, obamacare, and so forth. Now they think lowering or raising interest rates will pull everything back to normal and all that irresponsible spending and debt will just evaporate. They really don't have a clue nor know which way to go with the rates.

Does anyone trust the federal government now a days? There are republicans that cannot be trusted, aka: the impeachment vote on the border guy! His name escapes me, old age creeping in.

Well, what do you know someone actually acted. Mayorkas gets impeached. It was close. 214 to 213. Three repubs resisted.

"History will not look kindly on House Republicans for their blatant act of unconstitutional partisanship that has targeted an honorable public servant in order to play petty political games," the president said in part of his statement.

Petty political games- more stupidity (meaning Biden).

Inflation is out of control. Prices have jumped incredibly in the last 7 days. Gas has risen $.32 since Monday. In grocery stores milk and eggs have gone up 15% and a jar of Hellmans Mayonnaise is now $8. Beef is on its way to record high prices.

I use potato chips for a measure of inflation. $5 a bag in some places.

A friend of mine is pretty successful. Meaning he can afford to buy things. He and wife went out to dinner and the waiter described the menu. The specialty that evening was bla, bla, bla and it was $175 a plate. He isn't silly enough order that, but if restaurants can offer that and some people are willing to pay that we won't see a dip in inflation.

Potato chips and bottled water have got to be the most overpriced items in the world.

Potato's are cheap, easy to grow, easy to harvest and think of how many chips come from a single potato. I would think packaging and transportation would be the main cost.

Bottled water cost as much as a soda and more than gasoline yet no one complains about the price, just the cost of gasoline which is very expensive to produce.

The cost of gasoline gets people's attention kind of like taxes. Somehow you feel like they're sticking it to you. Potato chips is voluntary. I feel they are kind of a necessity so I get annoyed about the price. I know people who are weird enough to only drink bottled water. The cost of bottled water is never an issue with me. I "eat out" maybe five times a year (I might cut that down to twice). I don't let inflation get too me much.

I don't drink water by itself--was just making a comparison but our supply is city water that is checked for bacteria, PH and I guess other things then it goes through our filter in the fridge. Cost to us is about one cent per gallon. To top that off the city is making a profit.
