    NATO

Just viewed on one of the TV news stations, the trailer beneath the a story line had this printed on it.

NATO is developing a plan to have the US Troops moved to the front line if there is war with Russia.

Nothing was said if any others would be sent to the front. Why must the US always be the defender of Europe again. What are the other countries doing since Trump required those countries to up their financial support of NATO. Or has that support fallen again now that Trump is not the President?

To what extent has the Ukraine war depleted NATO's war materials in an effort to support Ukraine?

Just some random thoughts after reading the trailer.
Peace is that brief glorious moment in history when everybody stands around reloading.

cause if the leadership is good, we get xxxx done, I guess

not much on today's leadership, starting with the C in C

I heard or read somewhere, don't recall where, that NATO, or at least the Euro members, were crafting up a way to continue to fund Ukraine if Trump does get elected, since he expects them to pay thier fair share, and they have not been,

Look at Ukraines war efforts and Russians all out war.... the Russians cannot defeat the Ukrainian military despite a population of 140 million vs 20 million Ukrainians.

Come on !!! The US population is over 330 million!

That would be a push over BUT the US population consists of 250 million of WOKE, transgender, queers, and cowards.

        Just My Honest Opinion (JMHO).

Just to let you know, Canada has had about 1,500 troops deployed in Latvia for several years and is apparently planning to expand the force to a brigade size. Not a large force by US standards but very significant for our small military. I suspect that their real role is to let the Russians know that NATO will not tolerate a Russian invasion. In addition Canada has provided a surprising amount of aid to Ukraine in various forms including artillery, ammunition, armoured vehicles, clothing, etc

Given the US military's serious recruiting and retention problems I wonder where they will find the personnel they need ?

A friend of mine came here when he was small baby. When war came and the draft was in effect, he was drafted. His question to the military was this: If captured and not being a citizen, where does he stand when it came to the USA standing up for him as prisoner of war. Does anyone know where a military person in that position would be today considering we currently have an all volunteer forces'.
