What do you mean by "Phony War"? That phony war has seen close to a million people killed and wounded on both sides. The selfish reality is that it is far better for the West to arm and supply the Ukrainians than it is for NATO to get into a war with Russia. What I can't understand is why the Rupublicans are suddenly on the side of Russia and Putin. We have maintained a large international alliance for 70 years just to protect ourselves from the Soviets (now Russians). What has changed? They are still an aggressor even if the Soviet Union has gone into the history books. Just remember that it was Russia that attacked Ukraine,not the other way around and that now the rest of Europe is fearful that they will try to take over other countries such as the Baltic States.
