    Korean Ingenuity

A young American engineer officer has a building renovation project in Korea. He has a Korean contractor working the job. Project includes removal of asbestos containing materials. They discover contractor's workers are not protected in accordance with requirements. The Project Engineer shuts down the work. He advises the contractor's foreman of the risk to unprotected workers, including the possibility of workers contracting cancer within their lifetime. Contractor is instructed to protect workforce appropriately before restarting work.

Next day, contractor comes to job site with demolition crew all 65 years and older. True story.
