    Seal Team Two??

    Had a guy come into my office today and said he was a Seal on Seal Team Two. Given his apparent age I asked him if that was in the "UDT" days and he said yes. So........can anyone here provide the facts about the change over from UDT to SEALS?? Do I think this person is a poser?? Not sure. I will provide his last name by PM to anyone here that might have more info. George in NH

      the first SEaL teams were formed in 1961 or 1962...

      Team One was at Coronado Island San Diego, Team Two was at Little Creek Virginia Beach...

      ALL SEaLs in the early days (maybe still?) started out as UDT...

      During WWII (when the first UDTeams were formed) there were about 3 dozen UDT teams. i dont have the exact number handy...

      i got some of this info from my dad who was on an APD and stationed at Little Creek where they embarked Frogmen/UDT on board...

          The Wikipedia (yes I know) article on the Navy's UDTs says they were officially discotinued on Janury 1, 1983.
