    Model 51 Mossberg

    Hello All.

Attached are photos of a Model 51 Mossoberg that I purchased over 20 years ago. Fired it a few times and then put it away. Got the urge to do some plinking around the house and thought about this rifle so I dug it out.

Took it down and finished cleaning it, but could not figure where the small pin came from. I think from the trigger area.

Dave, thanks for the information on the rifle. I knew very little about it. Your help is appreciated.

Hey all, new guy here. I have a Model 51 with a homemade disconnector spring that I am going to replace with reproduction spring, I don't have confidence in the one that is in there right now so could someone please show me how it's supposed do go in properly.

      Thanks, and Semper Fi
      Jim

This is the spring I am talking about, I know it's not original.

Apparently there are several models of the M51. Very likely to be identical internally. No shooting it until you find out where the pin came from either.
However, try this for a manual. Dunno if it works properly.
