Win Model 1300 defender question

Mine has 18" barrel, 12 ga. Can I replace barrel with a longer barrel for skeet? Google said model 120, 1300 and 1400 were interchangeable, but I don't trust that because of the location of the mounting collar. Any advise? thanks

If it has the 8 shot magazine regular barrels won't work.I've got one myself.

Mine is 4 round tube. So maybe mine will work?

The barrels are tapered,it would be a little more complicated than just unsoldering a collar if they are in fact soldered on and moving it.Move forward too big,move back it would have to be reamed to fit the barrel taper.I'd look for a regular field model and see if it would fit first thing before buying or doing anything.

If you have the four shot mag-tube..other four shot mag-tube barrels should work. The Defenders I have are all 7-8 shot length mag-tubes

On the 4 shot tube, field barrels for the 120, 1200, and 1300 will interchange. The 1400 will physically fit, but has gas ports for the semi-auto shotgun. Do not use a 1400 or 1500 barrel on the pump gun.
