Winchester Model 74

Help,
Bought a very clean Model 74 at a show this WE. Took it out to shoot and it jammed after 2-3 rounds. I was able to get the bolt out, but now I can?t get the knob at the rear to compress enough to get the bolt back in. I am concerned there is a problem with the firing pin, but I can?t get the bolt apart as I can?t remove the slide handle that holds the two halves of the bolt together. Is there a Model 74 expert out there that can help?

Finally figured out what I needed to know about the Model 74 Winchester. Interesting rifle with a pretty significant history both as a Marine Corp trainer and WWII Lend Lease weapon. Anyone out there needing help send me an email.
