A friend has Model 1885 Winder Musket with the fore end cut off about 3" ahead of the band. Does any one know a possible source for an original fore end and fore end tip cap? Also, does anyone make reproductions of that fore end?

You might check with Gary Wenig here in Missouri, he was around the Lincoln/Warsaw Missouri area............... if nothing else he might be induced to make you up a custom stock............. you'd just have to ask him...... Do not be surprised if he doesn't ask for the money in advance..........there is probably little demand for those parts if the original customer developed a case of buyer's remorse & didn't take the parts .......
