    CZ 457 VPT at 100yds.

Have had a ball with the CZ 457 VPT 22rf. Put a Sightron scope on it and been playing for some time not. Recently on the M14 BR forum we started a smallbore range for photo entries. This is what I shot yesterday at 100 yds. Used ELEY TENEX and found it more consistent than others for this quest. Shot off my 3 legged shooting table with a front rest and rear bag. Whatta Hobby!

You make some of us look like we couldn't hit the broad side of a barn.

I was good when I was younger, but not near this good. Was decent with a pistol even. When me and my brother were younger we would go to a huge clay pit and shoot. There was a dump site nearby that was good to shoot at, along with our favorites--going to creeks, ponds, and swamps to shoot snakes.

I haven't shot (for accuracy) in a long time.

I was better a long time ago.
Rgr on the dump. Growing up in Bethlehem , CT we used to go to the local dump at night with flashlights taped to our 22 barrels. Never kept a record, but I would guess 20-30 per night was normal for a total for all of us. Them was de daze.
Since retirement a few years ago , this is what I do to keep myself entertained. Whatta Hobby!

Well, if you were much better there would only be one hole.

My dad used to shoot rats in the barn at night using a flashlight taped to the barrel of a 22. He always used 22 shot (rat shot) though. Easier to hit with and no holes punched in the barn walls.

          Some nice shooting there!

Been over 20 years since I did serious outdoors prone with a front rest. My biggest problem was the wind.
I was playing the old Black Death Target game at 25 and 50 yards with a true factory sporter- the old Miroku made Win 52-B Sporting. It took me almost 8 months for a 25 yard max, and about 2 years for a 50 yard max. That's 5 into under a 1/4", and I had to go to Lapua Polar Biathlon in order to get both maxes.
I've since lost the targets. There may be still pix up on the Marlin Owners forum, but I sort of doubt it, as they were hosted on photobucket. I'll see if I can find the photo's, but I'm sort of doubting on any success there. #18 on the BDT list for 25 yds. List placement for 50 yds still eludes me.

In late 60's now and tried a bit of prone to get some sighting in done in early September. I'm no longer built the same, and will have to come up with something for a portable bench.
