Gents: Please help refresh my memory, if possible. I purchased a Remington 541-X 22 rifle from the CMP in 1999 or so... I can't recall if it was shipped with any sort of instruction manual. I've rifled through (pun intended) all the CMP shipping boxes I still have and no manual. That's generally where I leave the instruction books with any firearm. If anyone can verify the 541-X purchase didn't include a Manual, then I can stop looking. Otherwise where might I obtain one? RSVP Thanks in advance, Geoff

Yes, manual came in the box. Remington green cover 4 page factory manual. Back page is the parts breakdown.

Thanks Chris W. Short story is, Father and I each purchased a CMP 541-X for each other, unbeknownst to each other. He was 82 @that time. I sold mine; I guess with the Manual. I have Father's 541 and he had the Manual in his file with his DCM SA 1911, DCM M1 Carbine, etc. Whew! Geoff.Comment

Date on my paperwork was 2/2000. Prices on items from the CMP were quite reasonable and the 541-X was a great deal at the time when they had them.
