    Brno .22 sporter

Anyone know anything about a Czech Brno Model # 1 .22 rifle. Seems to be dated 48 tho the vertical line did not strike on the 4. Very good to excellent condition, the bolt action is the one the Chinese copied on several .22's that were imported here to the US. Any info would be appreciated.

If you do a quick internet search, you should find some interesting and encouraging information. The Brno is/was an early root for the current line of CZ 22's and they are pretty good! I think the Brno is still being made and is considered an upscale rifle. The early ones are even nicer than the current and have a pretty good following. The #1 was just that, the first from the later half of the 40's, and they were improved up through the #5 (I think). Still sought after and, in better conditions, can bring good prices.
