    what are the odds

I've had an old Savage 1907 32ACP made in 1919 for a number of years...serial number 199050. I don't collect Savage pistols but came across one like the one that I own that needed a set of grips. The only reason that I bought it was after checking the serial number I saw that it was just 3 numbers different that mine...serial number 199046 hence the title what are the odds. Picked up a set of grips from Numrich Arms. Here's a pic of the twins from 1919. Rich 100_1558.jpg

I really like those old auto pistols. I have several that are .32 ACP. One I working on is .380 ACP and I need a .45ACP to round out the collection.

joem, if you get that Savage in .45ACP... I'm driving to St. Louis to see her well at least my lady will drive me.... with 18 bottles of oxygen with us.... I'm on it full time now.... Here's hoping a nice guy lucks into one...................Marshall is at 79 mile marker on I-70.......... I'm 27 miles from I-70 so it would be do-able ... grins.

We had a .32 for a while, belonged to my ex-wife's grandfather. He gave it to me on a visit. It was a great tin can gun, all the kids shot it. After granddad passed, his will had it going to my ex's brother. I had no real attachment to it so we took it to him. Since he lives in Connecticut, I thought that state could use another handgun. They're still drilling tin cans with it, I'd pick up another if one came along.

Thanks Gimp. Been looking for one for many years. Perhaps some day?
