Box of 1942 British .303 in greek box interesting?

Found at this weekend's gun show, various 1942 head stamped (RG etc.) ammo possibly not original to box. Any member see this box before? Re-boxed in Greece post war? Just curious. Thanks, Don

          It's all Greek to me

I'm assuming what you probably already know. 1942 Radway Green surplused/sold/gifted off to Greece and repacked there in October of '55.
Keep in mind that vintage of RG is indeed corrosive.

TonyE who frequents Gunboards from time to time is probably among one of the best qualified to give an honest description. His new ammo website is here:

British Military Small Arms Ammo is my site dedicated to the study of British military small arms ammunition from the advent of the self contained metallic cartridge in 1866 until the present day. It is designed as a resource for researchers, historians and collectors. Here you will find details,

It's new and a work in progress.
