.303 ammo score this past weekend!

I had a display table for my Enfield collection at the Washinton Arms Collectors show this past weekend. Also had a sales table to sell of some of my odds and ends. One of them was a Mauser 98k Semi Kriegs stock, possibly sanded, but all there. I had about 200 bucks into the stock, just trying to get my money back out of it. Young kid shows up, wants to buy it, but short on cash, asked about a trade. He said he had about 1500 rds of .303, I said, "Yeah, sure, as long as it's not that POF crap". Bought it in, all WWII or newer dated Brit and US made. Deal! I'll count it out tonight.....
Enfield, everything else is just a rifle. Unless it's a Garand.

You did well Hal. SNAP. Read my recent post thread on .303 in the Ammo Dump section. Some good advice on old military .303 ammo.
Is it not better to place a question mark upon a problem while seeking an answer than to put the label `God` there and consider the matter closed? Joseph Lewis

        what a deal

The kid must have sold his Enfield and no longer needed the ammo. Or maybe he inherited it from a passing relative. Either way that is a serious score and great deal on your part. The kid must not have known the going prices for that ammo.

What a good deal. Wish I ran into something like that.
