update on last years 1903A4 copy i built up

all vintage parts, this could have been the real thing all parts older than i am

should shoot as well as it looks, and a wonderful job was done on the park job, Parsons scope repair put the scope in new condition, the optics are incredible, can see the 3" spotter at 600 yards, the cross hairs cover it up,

It's good to see someone who knows mounting the optic forward improves everything.

when i started pieces and parts for this project years ago, one of the first things i obtained was a original forties redfield junior base, now previously i had built up a 1903A3 to a deer rifle, (it had already been taped for a lyman 48 iron sight so collector value was diminished anyway) i used a refield junior base for the scope mount. when i received the one i was planning on using for the copycat inoticed that it had some additional milling on it and the milling just happened to co incide with the bell shape of the scope. The mount i bought for the project was reported to have come off a 1903A4. It fit, and the milling was to enable the complete control of the required adj for the scope for clarity and focus. without that additional milling on the scope base couldnot fully adj the scope as required.
