US Navy sniper rifles

Makes you wonder why a guy on a guided missle destroyer or an aircraft carrier would need one. Mind you, a guy shooting any scoped rifle isn't necessarily a sniper. Certainly not a communications officer. Nor does putting a scope on any rifle make it a sniper's rifle. SEALS, Jarheads and Spec Ops guys are a different thing.
"...info on the 300 WM rifle..." Wouldn't put any money on it, but I think they use USMC rifles. Spec Ops guys tend to be very quiet about their kit. Wouldn't be surprising if it's a standard Rem M24.Spelling and grammar count!Comment

They're good for hunting Somali pirates.
I believe all hands are expected to be proficient with all small arms on board.

Spam Sniper- one click, one kill.
CSP is what you make it.
A picture of your gun is worth 1,000 words. A crappy picture is only worth 100.Comment

"...I believe all hands are expected to be..." Doubt it. The stokers that make the reactors work on a carrier certainly wouldn't be. None of the Regular CF Boat People I had the pleasure of knowing knew SFA about small arms. Knew their ship board job/qualification, but little else. Good guys just the same.
Knew a long service, CFR'd (Commissioned From the Ranks. Senior and very senior NCOs.) CF Militia officer who had never fired an FN C2 LMG prior to Regimental a range weekend I was on, long ago. Don't know if he shot it then. The guy was the RSM prior to commissioning. Good guy though.Spelling and grammar count!Comment

I would not take that bet. The frogs have thier own gun builders and they are some of the best. Even the army was having the guys at Crane build weapons for them.
