    Lyman 8X Jr Targetspot

I glommed a Lyman 8x Junior Targetspot to use on a faux Rock Island 1903A1 sniper rifle.

How do the Lyman scopes and mounts stack up against the Unertl, Fecker or Litschert?

    Thanks.

Should be comparable. General Van Orden, who was basically the father of using the Unertl on USMC sniper rifles, later switched to the Lyman scopes on at least some of the rifles offered by his company Evaluators Ltd.
As a side note, John Unertl worked for Fecker for a number of years before going into business for himself. Initially, John Unertl obtained his micrometer scope mounts from Fecker and Lyman before starting manufacture of his own.

    Regards,
    Jim

      Thanks, Jim

Someone posted pictures of an actual USMC Unertl on another forum and I noticed that the mounts look very similar to the ones on the Lyman scope that I got.
