    M84 scope on a 1903A4

Can anyone tell me what type of rings are used to mount a M84 on the 03A4?

It seems to have to be a 2 piece ring, as I can't see how you could get the 1 piece split rings on the M84.

    Thanks

The top split, one-piece rings were designed for the M73, M81 and M82 scopes. They are all variations of the Lyman Alaskan.Since they are not sealed the eyepiece cell can be unscrewed and both rings slid on behind the W&E Turret as per the photograph.

the 7/8.s , 24mm split rings were in fact made by Lyman Gunsight corp..and not Redfield.
if it aint broke...fix it till it finally is.

Jim thanks for posting the info on the lyman scope and getting rings behind turret. Nice having a a4 that I can use the safety and the eye relief is better. Someone recommended I movethe front ring behind the turret before but couldn't figure out how as I didn't know the eye piece could be unscrewed safely. Thanks!
