    My full time shooter

The rifle at full length was a mint Oct 42 Springfield. Someone cut it down 6" into a "Tanker" model. I bought it in 1998 in Houston. I now use it as my primary shooter since I don't shoot the 96 M1D.

    Cecil,
That is a fantastic rifle. I especially like the M14E2 front pistol grip. I remember seeing a Enfield No5 rifle at the Bisley show in the UK that someone had mounted an original No32 MkIII scope and bracket onto it. The owner said it kicked like a mule but was fun.

Cecil did you have the M1D block added to the '42 barrel? Itb looks like a sling stud on the front of the stock does it have a Harris bipod also. I would go with the T-37 flash hider for better accuracy and stream line look.

Hi Johnny, Yea I had Elmer add it a while back. I use the swivel type Harris bi-pod. The barrel is an upside down 42. But since it is six inches short I figured I'd make it the way I wanted. I use the T-37 when I'm serious about shooting. The M2 is convienient to keep it short and cool.
