M84 scope cleaning

My M84 has some black flecks inside . Anyone that takes these apart and cleans them?

Yes, but leave it alone. Once someone takes it apart to clean it, it will never be the same.

+1 You cannot really get rid of it in some cases it is rust flakes. I have seen a few that have hundreds of tiny specks to one or two large specks. The only way to get rid of the specks is to completely disassemble the scope remove all oxidation and debris from every component inside the scope and reassemble it.

Having used their service, I can recommend Iron Sight to recondition your M84. The black spots seen on the lens is rust as noted by Johnny in Texas. I think their pricing is very fair; just check on their back log as it took many months to get my scope back. HTH. George in NH
