Original Redfield bases for the 03A4 Sniper Rifle

Were there different types of Redfield bases used during 03A4 production ? Or were they all the same ? Were any unmarked, or did they all have the REDFIELD marking ?
    Thanks

Lyman made them and they were unmarked. I don't think I have seen any unmarked bases on original from the factory rifles. I have seen some early bases that did not have the taper on the rear that were unmarked.
There are unmarked repro's out there also!

The unmarked Redfield bases in the Lyman packaging would appear to be Korean War era replacements.
There is a third type of base with the Redfield name and patent number on the forward part of the right side. These appear to be early commercial items.

i recently bought a Redfield, Jr. base for mine off of Ebay and it has an "R" sort of superimposed on what appears to be a crosshair image stamped into the forward area of the right side, no patent number. Is just a generic commercial item?

Yes thats a commercial Redfield base. Use of the "R" in the scope logo dates from the 60's I believe.
