      It's a standard usgi 7 /8 mount. Scope is a post and a horizontal line. All U.S. Alaskan all weather.

        I am guessing that is a 100 yard target - very nice. My problem with my DCM lottery D is that the groups walk. I have always assumed it was (is) the D mounting system. It would be interesting to have an Alaskan to test on my gun and even cooler to have the 8x attachment. Lucky dog, you!

        That said the spot shot is probably not legal for CMP vintage sniper, which is what I wish mine was accurate enough for.

          not sure i understand this, if you guys are putting this on to shoot better, why not just get another scope? If this is a repro to be used at CMP, simple, dont think it would be allowed?
          are these just a add on to the big end of the scope, I have never seen one, and have to admit never even heard of one
          some more explanation if you all can
