    M82 price check.

What is the price range on M82 scopes? Im looking at one and the elev.& windage caps are marked7575180. On the left side up front is the #7674029 on the rear eye piece #7634670 and below the elev. cap #7634671. It is also marked M82 with a serial No and stock No.

There are several variations (mainly markings) of the M82. Some were made by Lyman and some by Wollensak. If you could post a pic of the markings or at least post the s/n and the format of the stock No. you would probably get a better answer.

With M84's knocking on the $700.-$800. range I would expect the M82's to go for at least $1000. possibly more.

    Regards,

    Jim

          M82 scope

I am very fortunate to have acquired 2 M82's over the past few years. One is blued, one parked. Both in very good condition! Not wanting to sell either. I have not seen any for sale recently.

There have been a least two on Gunbroker recently. No bids when I looked at them last with starting prices of $1200-$1295.

Saw one at a local funshow with an asking price of $1299 within the last two months as well.

There was also a M81, but its asking price was something like $1800-1900.

My impression is any M82 scope for a $1000 or less would be a bargain. A really nice one is a good buy at $1200.

When the M1Cs eventually go on sale - watch out. Think now would be a good time to look and buy.

Just look at the completed auctions on gunbroker and ebay.

              This one went for $1365:

              This one went for $1000:
