Repro 1903A4 & M1 C/D Sniper

Greetings all. Not sure if this has been posted before. I just saw it (Info) this weekend. Gibbs is making repro 1903A4 & M1 C/D snipers-

Actually if you read the article, it says they are making the A-4 (rifles being recovered drill A3's which the article conveniently fails to mention) and M-84 scopes. While the article MENTIONS the M-1C, and the D, what they are offering (again, according to this article) is the M-84 scope with M-1D MOUNT. The rifle you would need to buy from CMP or rebarrel your own M-1. The article goes on to say that Val Jr. is interested in building copies of other vintage U.S. sniper scopes.

A fellow at the range has a copy of 03-A4. While shooting the repo scope lost the optics (shook loose). He sent it back and I haven't heard if he got it back yet or just asked for his money.

the Gibbs "M73G1" is just for decoration. If someone MUST shoot one of these things get a pair of 1" Redfield rings and a 4X Bushnell and be done with it!
