Visited the USMC museum at Quanico saw 2 USMC M1941 snipers

Sorry no pics or s/n's both were in nice cond. but not fresh from rebuild or new. I did not know they had the Iwo Jima flag the real one that flew 26 days over the Island on display. It is a great museum great displays many rare items. There was an M14 on display that looked like the left front sight ear had been hit by a .30 cal. bullet. I saw the WW2 area at the Smithsonian also and there were very few weapons out any more and the ones that were out were not WW2 as far as the M1's and M1 Carbines. They did display one of the M1's confiscated from the Guard soldiers at Kent State. Saw a film that showed a USMC M1941 in use on Tarawa beach.
