My friend just purchased a supposed WW11 USMC sniper rifle. I know very little on the subject and he knows even less. He paid $5000 which to me is a lot. The rifle is a 03 Springfield in the 1500000 range, Hatcher hole, C stock(no cartouche) HS 6-44 barrel and what looks like to me a 03A3 bolt marked B&S. Scope is a Unertl. I can't remember any US marks on the scope. I won't see the rifle again for several weeks.He is very excited about it since the guy dropped the price from $6000. Did he get hosed?

Probably well yes most likely. It depends on the scope if it is an original USMC SNIPER 8X Unertl then he could be ok or at least not totally bent over. Much more info. is needed.Last edited by Johnny in Texas; 09-27-2011, 02:58.
