MN Barrel Removal

First off, don't know a thing about these, but have a friend that wants the barrel off for reasons won't go into here. Is all legit, so don't worry about that, but does the barrel come apart from the receiver and how is the best method for removal?

The barrel is threaded and screws into the receiver and as with all set ups like this, can be difficult to remove without a proper set up . Here's a video:
