Just used it for the first time yesterday after it came in. It sets to one side or the other of the muzzle of the rifle within a couple of feet and measures the speed of the projectile using dopler radar. No more shooting through the area over the chronograph or having to strap something to the muzzle of the weapon. Programmable to check bullet speed at different ranges as the bullet travels to the target. I had it set to measure at 25,50,75,100 and 150 yards at the same time. The machine also calculates standard deviation for instant display. I thought it interesting that the 150gr Bergers I was shooting yesterday lost 200 fps between the muzzle and a 100yd target. Another tool that will assist me in making tiny little groups with my precision rifles.

After doing a little research, I found this chronograph to be simply amazing. The things it can do puts it way ahead of anything else. Plus simple setup and very accurate readings. For shooters like nfle, this is a godsend. Wish I could utilize it, but the cost doesn't justify my spending that amount of money on just leasurly shooting.Comment
