Jacketed bullets ???

    Jacketed bullets ???

    I`d like to know if jacketed bullets can be knurled to bring them up 1 or 2 thousndths in size?I`m talking about 45 cal 405-500g bullets.

    I think it would take a lot of pressure to get a jacketed round to expand some.

      If you tried to knurl a jacketed round, you would destroy the bullet. Take a pair of side cutters and squeeze a jacketed bullet, you will see it's not as sturdy as one thinks. You could knurl a solid projectile, but doing so would change it's characteristics.
      Is your barrel a bit large????? Consider cast bullets as you can vary the diameter.

        I use a lot of cast lead bullets in 405 gr. There a bit bigger in dia than jacketed. Check out a maniufacture of cast lead that shows the dia of the bullets he sells.
