    Decapping pin for Swede 6.5 x 55

I bent the pin on a Privi Swede case(6.5 x 55) in addition to the end of the rod that holds it. I seem to be having trouble finding what I need to fix this. Midway shows replacement for 22 -25 caliber and 27 -45. The Swede is .26 caliber. The RCBS site seems a little vague to me. I am kind of new to this and don't feel all that familiar with what I'm looking at on line.

If it is a RCBS product contact them they will probably tell you to send it to them for replacment.

Part number 9807 exp / decaper unit.
Pins are 9609 , large , if straight pins .
A new 9807 should need the new 90164 universal headed pin.

6.5mm is .256" caliber - whether you call it a .25 or a .26 depends on how you round the number. Or perhaps you're concentrating on the .264" groove diameter instead of the bore size.

Anyhow, as stated above, what you probably want is:

        RCBS part # 9807 (Midway # 359863)
        EXP-DECAPPING UNIT 6.5MM
        $ 8.95 RCBS ($7.99 Midway)

BUT, if you can mail RCBS the damaged item and a polite note explaining what happened, it's likely they'll send you a new one at no charge - even though they state the "WARRANTY DOES NOT COVER DEFECTS OR DAMAGE RESULTING FROM: CARELESSNESS, MISUSE," etc.

Following text is on page 19 of their downloadable parts book at http://www.rcbs.com/downloads/Parts_Book.pdf -

        IMPORTANT
Expander-Decapping Rods, Decapping Rods, Expander Balls and Decapping Pin Holders are no
longer available separately. If any of these fail, order a replacement Expander-Decapping Unit or
Decapping Unit as shown in the tables on pages 21 through 23. . . new RCBS "Precision" Sizer Dies use a #90164 Headed Decapping Pin. . .
Note: Regular Decapping Pins for older RCBS Sizer Dies will remain available. Use the chart below to order replacements.
        .22 - .25 Caliber 09608
        6.5mm - .45 Caliber 09609

I would recommend ordering pins of both sizes, they're pretty cheap. They sell them in packs of 5 or so and they're a good thing to have in your reloading drawer. If you get a Berdan primed case mixed in with your Boxer primed cases, you'll break or bend the pin. It's good to have spares to get it fixed quickly.

I use an RCBS Universal de-capper.
It decaps all my calibers, rifle, pistol - except my MH.
I like to clean my cases before running them thru a die
              which are mostly neck dies.
