Hornady has suspended production of a bunch of bullets and ammo. I have the letter and the list in pdf but it is 2 MB, too big for me to attach here. Perhaps you can google it or find a way to link to it.
Hornady Suspended Production List

I found the list, seems it would have been easier for them to list what they are producing. http://www.boards.ie/vbulletin/showt...p?t=2056988029"I have sworn upon the Altar of God, eternity hostility upon all forms of tyranny over the minds of man." - Thomas JeffersonComment

Sometimes business executives must justify why they are seated at the table. Running a suspended production list is just plain stupid in my opinion. There are better ways of doing things, but who cares, if you can't buy what you like, you will have to like what they now sell or don't buy from them at all! Business is about money and money only!

Someone else will probably pick up what they have decided to not produce for sale, if you cant buy it from them we can dam sure buy it from who ever else makes it. They probably wont care if they lose a market share that small, until it starts to add up. Once I change to another I never go back.I DDUW BO'R DIOLCHComment

Sorry, the list and the reasoning are both at this location. I also emphasizes the temporary nature of the suspension. I think Hornady is playing straight on this in terms of wanting to meet the highest demand. They also are entitled to maximize their revenue, but in the process of prioritizing to meet the highest demands, that should just be a byproduct of the action in this business.Last edited by Hefights; 07-08-2013, 03:18.Comment

Sucks for me because most of the bullets I use are on the suspension list!"I was home... What happened? What the Hell Happened?" - MM1 Jacob Holman, USS San PabloComment

I just wonder how long it's going to take for the other big producers to start doing the same thing ?? They could have done this already and not made any suspended list of their own. This could explain why some things like 22 are almost impossible to find. High demand factors into this, also DHS ordering billions of rounds factors in as well. If Remington, Winchester, and Federal end up doing the same thing, it will be a very long time before we see bullets for reloading, some loaded ammo, 22LR hit the shelves again. The availability might end up just as bad as when war time production was in progress in WWII, little factory ammo with the public.Last edited by Chris W.; 07-10-2013, 07:37.Comment
