Experience with the Lapua 148 gr. HBWC.

Request anyone's experience with the above named bullet. Will be shooting it from a S@W 52. Any info. would be appreciated. Have just come into a couple of boxes and know nothing about them. Thanks in advance.

Never even heard of it! It's not on their site.

My understanding is that it is no longer manufactured. Neither is the Remington HBWC. Win. HBWC . and several others. Just lookin for past experience with the bullet. I believe the Lapua 32 spl. HBWC. is still in production.

I wouldn't worry too much about anything from Lapua, other than the price. .38's haven't been terribly popular with serious target shooters for years. I'd lean towards shooting it just for the brass. Haven't used any factory for eons myself.

if you are asking for load data, I'd just use the same data as shown for other bullets that are the same or very close in bullet weight.
Brand isn't going to make a whole lot of difference, it's the weight and whether it is jacketed or not that does.
