I found a small supply of W231 at a local gun show this past weekend --- I paid $45 for 1 pound.

We pay more like $50 for it and have for about 3 years or so. And you know what? There's nothing we can do about it.Regards, JimComment

It's somewhat more palletable when you can get 1000+ loads from a pound, but just barely. I haven't even seen any in well over a year so I've fallen back on Unique loads.Comment

I have a substantial stock of B'Seye, Unique and 231. I buy them when they're at a deal at a show or wherever. These $50 plus taxes prices I speak about are what we've been paying for several years while down south you pay half of that. It's just how it is. And for those that won't pay, it's hard to load ammo using oatmeal for propellant. The others are just as expensive.Regards, JimComment

A few weeks ago I bought 4, one lb containers of IMR4064 for $21.00 + Hazmat and shipping. I bought them from an online vendor and that's the price nationwide. I know pistol powders are harder to get but I have a few lbs. of various pistol powder and a whole bunch of .22 LR ammo (mebbe 7K rounds), so if it comes down to it, I just won't pay some thief for the privilege of using his powder...
BTW, I have used Cream-O-Wheat for some reloads.
