    It depends on when they were made. They seem to have been getting harder over the years. Melting 100# at a time, then mixing 5 batches together, I ended up with a BHN of 13.2 measured with a Cabin Tree tester the last "mass-melt", in 2012.

      That's about what I get. I find that with good lubrication (I double lube with liquid Alox) and a gas check, you don't need very hard bullets.
