Found a copy of THE .45-70 SPRINGFIELD by Frasca & Hill at the LGS. Is it worth buying? Asking $100.00 for it.

If it is a first edition (especially if one of the numbered ones) yes.
Otherwise, I'd go to www.trapdoorcollector.com and check out the other options. If you just want the data, which is unquestionably excellent, one of the softcover versions would do. If you are a book collector the LGS one may be a good deal. -
The copyright is 1980. No other printings listed. Looked at the website and it looks like the first book listed except the rifle on the cover is just a line drawing and not gilted, also no memorial edition on cover. Hardbacked..........so I'd say a first edition. Thanks, I'll see if I can talk them down a bit.If it is a first edition (especially if one of the numbered ones) yes.

Yes, that sounds like the standard version of the first edition, which is no longer available from Al. You might also look at Amazon or ABE.Comment

Ebay has several. Prices are all over the place there.
After looking, Dick's advice is best. You can have both Book 1 and 2 for $110

Talked them down to $25.00 for it. Showed them the website. Book has some foxing. This is a gunshop not a book dealer. They had nothing in the book as it came in with a bunch of stuff that came with a rifle.USMC 1969-1993 6333/8153/9999
