"new" trapdoor first year production carbine

I was very lucky to get this carbine yesterday. It is completely correct and original. It has never been "upgraded" over the years. The serial number is 20933. It does have a cut-off nickel for a front sight.

Looks like a great find! My main computer is away being upgraded by my grandson so I do not have my s/n files handy, but that is a "good" range.

Are you sure the stock is OK - it very well could be the excessive distortion, but it just doesn't look quite "right" somehow, particularly the excessive amount of wood behind the band. With the amount of wear on the metal (which certainly has a very pleasing and, above all, UNIFORM patina) one would not expect such a crisp shoulder. Just asking - I could be mistaken.
