1888 Stock Tools

Was wondering what the correct tools are, that fit into the butt stock of a M1888 Trapdoor. Thanks.

M1882 Headless shell extractor, M1879 Combination tool, and a small threaded "thimble" which screws onto the rear end of the rod-bayonet to hold a cleaning patch. The first two are easy to find and cheap, the latter is scarce and expensive - but has been reproduced. However, you do not want to pay a collector price for a repro, so, look for age and wear, if the asking price is more than about $20.
