    45-70 barre;

    I'm looking for a 45-70 barrel, cutdown rifle barrel would be just fine as long as the bore is good. Doing it for a friend.

    Thanks,

    Mark

    I'll see what I have - what's your friend's budget, and is there a minimum length?

    Would there be any interest in a .45-70 barrel threaded into an 1868 receiver (which would come with it)? IIRC, the bore is mint/new. I was saving it to build a shooter, but, realistically, that time has passed.

      Rummage around here. Like Dick says, your buddy's budget is important. So is having the right tools.

          Should I continue to dig around looking for barrels, or is this a dead issue?
