There are opportunities here to find both buyers and sellers of firearms. There are also opportunities to get scammed. We recommend the following:
1. Do not deal with someone who is wiling to break federal law by shipping to anyone but an FFL. You can't trust a cheater.
2. If you spending more for a gun than you are willing to throw away, research and choose a reputable escrow company to hold the funds until you receive and are satisfied with your purchase.

I have an 1873 rifle in the 46,000 serial range. The breach is marked MASS, I assume for the Massachusetts National Guard. Thinking of selling the rifle. Does the marking add a little value to the rifle as opposed to one that is not marked? Thanks.
One thinks of the Springfield Single shot rifles and carbines as arms of the wild west. Thus like cadet rifles state marked guns bring a lower values on the market. Hope this helps.
