    Quick range report

I've shot my 2 TD rifles before, finally took my 1873 carbine to the range today. I had Black Hills ctgs - at $1.50 a shot I didn't fire too many - but here's a target of 6 at 50 yds. Only my left elbow was on the bench, I was wavering a bit and it was uncomfortable to get a good sight picture as my head had to be lower on the stock than I like. I knew the POI would be high, so I aimed below the black, you can see how high the hits were, an average of 8" above my aim.

I was surrounded by black guns, when I turned around and there was 2 guys my age watching the whomp and smoke cloud on station 4. Pretty cool......

Took a couple of mine out last weekend, trying to see where I could get them (new to me) to print, so I shot at 25 yards. cloverleafs. BIG cloverleafs but cloverleafs nonetheless. After decades of high-velocity, jacketed, high-power, these things are going to be a lot of fun.

I set up to cast for it and I found powder, RL-7 and FFg, so I can load my own.
