Very early trapdoor crawl buckle sling

Picked this up the other day and it appears to be a very early pattern claw sling as the two fingers are much thinner and over all the whole brass claw keeper is slightly smaller then the later TD and Krag slings. Also the width of the leather sling is about 1/16 narrower.
I first thought it was a civilian version as I've seen some later commerical 03 slings having narrower claws and narrower width leather but this sling has the three government inspector initials stamped in the leather. Thought it was interesting as I never saw, what I would assume, is a first model claw sling if that's what it is. What ya think?

I have at least one of these - and I do believe it is what you say, the very earliest double-claw TD sling.
