Will a Trapdoor front band w sling swivel work on a Remington Lee rifle?

I have a 1888 Rem Lee that the front band that has the sling swivel but is missing the stacking swivel and I am wondering if the trap door front band would work as a replacement or are they different? Ray

I've never tried the swap, but they'd have to be awfully close. They are, of course, marked differently, the "U" being on the front edge right side on the TD, whilst the R/L has it at center on the left side.

So, "work", as in function, most likely yes - but if required to pass critical muster for a display, no.

Many thanks Dan, I forgot about S&S. I just figured original front RL bands would be unobtainable. I did order it.
Oops just realized I called it a model 1888 instead of 1885. Actually it's one of last ones made circa 1894 , ACD inspected. Ray
