Finally got a Trapdoor and have a couple questions please

I'm very experienced in M1 Carbines and Garands and have ALWAYS wanted a Trapdoor. Serial # is 468622 and breechblock is marked 1873. Serial number places it in 1889 but my question is what rear sight would it have had? m73 or the new Buffington they had by then. FWIW this one has the Buffington.

Also is there an SRS hit in this one?

From the information I read on the Trapdoor Collector website, by 1889 the Buffington sight would have been the original sight mounted on that rifle. It is also written that the 1884 dated breechblock didn't start showing up on the rifles until 1887 so it's not impossible that an 1873 dated breech block was still in the parts bin in 1889, though it's also possible that it was swapped onto your rifle sometime after it was made.
